Finally….some sightseeing!

Well, I finally got around to see some of the sights that London is famous for.

I decided to visit the BFI on the southbank first. Early start saw me there for about noon – which is impressive for me. Got a yummy lunch en route and even found a second book stall with a great selection.

The BFI was quiet for a Saturday afternoon but I did get to explore the archive. With a TV and Film archive that really is impressive and best of all free – I decided to take a trip down memory lane and enjoy an episode of Hartbeat with the gentleman of afternoon kids tv – Mr. Tony Hart and also a half hour of behind the scenes in Going Live! Really enjoyable and of course Philip Schofield hasn’t changed a bit…

After that – a stroll back via Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and a few other places that I found while getting lost. To prove that I did go out and about – I have included some photos. Of course I should point out that ‘a guard changing’ here in London is very different from what I was expecting. If I had paid – I would’ve asked for a refund…
